Q:
What is MPPT? A: MPPT
stands for Maximum Power Point Tracking. It makes tracking solar power more
efficient and reliable. As sunlight intensity changes, the voltage and current
from the solar panel also changes. The purpose of MPPT is to obtain the maximum
value combination of the voltage and current continually and thereby shorten the
time of charging a battery fully. For example, An 8Ah lithium battery can be fully
charged by using a 20W solar panel with a MPPT quick-charging controller in 8-10
hours under full sunshine. But it will only reach to about 60%~70% if charged
with a regular charging controller. Back

Q:
How often should I charge the battery even
not is use? A: It is strongly
recommended to recharge your battery at least once every 5-6 months even
not in use.

Q:
How many ways can I charge my lithium battery? A:
There are 2 ways to charge the lithium battery: (1). Use solar panel during daylight,
(2). Use vehicle's lighter plug when driving (and when sunshine is not available).

Q:
What is the connecting sequence when using solar panel to charge battery?
A: (1). Connect MPPT to lithium battery, (2).
Connect MPPT to solar panel. Please note that reversing the sequence will result
in longer charging hours. Back

Q:
What is the connecting sequence
when charging power to electronic device via inverter? A:
(1). Connect lithium battery to inverter, (2). Plug in outlet adapter to inverter,
(3). Plug in electronic device to inverter. Please note that reversing the
sequence may cause non-functioning on some devices. Back

Q:
What is the dimension of
the solar panel when folded and unfolded? A:
12"
x 10" x 1.5" when folded, and 28" x 23" x 1/8" when unfolded. Back

Q:
Can
ASP-4000 charge 2 lithium batteries at the same time? A:
Yes,
it can. It takes roughly 8-10 hours of full sunshine to fully charge 2 sets of
8Ah lithium batteries. Back

Q:
Is ASP-4000 waterproof?
A:
No,
MPPT and lithium battery are not waterproof. Please do not expose them in rain. Back
